If you purchased a DVD or USB from
Fixed (fixedbyfixed.com, Amazon.com or Bonanza.com), then this guide is for
you. Included on the DVD/USB are Ethernet Drivers (utilizing a safe shareware
program 3dp.net) for your PC so that you can easily get
online after your fresh (re)install. Usually you would need the use of another PC that had access to the internet,
then you would go to the company website of the manufacturer of your PC and there you would download your PC's drivers
onto a disc or USB then transfer them to your own PC and install them. Then you could get online. You have the option to use this method rather than to use the included Shareware program if you so choose.
3DP Net is a free application which can find and install the latest network drivers for your PC.
The program comes with its own integrated driver library, which means you can use it even if you don't
have an internet connection.
Unlike many similar tools, there's no adware, no account registrations or anything else required. As described below...just unpack
the program, run it and wait for your adapters to be detected. A missing or outdated driver is highlighted, and you can launch the installer with a click.
your Network Drivers are installed on your own PC, you can then connect to the
internet (assuming you have internet service) and surf to your PC
manufacture's website (hp.com, dell.com or asus.com, etc...) and download the
rest of your needed drivers for your specific make and model computer.
